Binomial JumpStart™

The Binomial JumpStart™ package offers an alternative to the full planning process.

Binomial JumpStart™ will help you to:

  • Start and implement your first recovery plan;
  • Ensure all staff are trained on how to perform Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning; and
  • Adapt the ideal planning process to suit your organization's needs.

Time on site: 2 to 3 days

Procedures:
  • Day 1 - Start with discussing current status of recovery planning, internal politics, reviewing company organization and complexity. Determine the organization's specific objectives (e.g. interim plan or full planning process? Presence of executive support?) Start Recovery Planning Training.
  • Day 2 - Complete training. Work through Phoenix to project the plan of attack and lay out the steps required for an interim plan full planning process.

Results:
  • Recovery plan content determined;
  • Recovery teams determined;
  • Vital recovery information identification and plan;
  • Your first draft recovery plan;
  • Staff trained; and
  • A project plan on how to proceed to the conclusion of your planning project.

  • Potomac Electric Power Company, developed a recovery plan including Y2K impacts for this utility, which supplies power to such clients as the White House and the Pentagon.
  • AVID Technology Inc., developed comprehensive Emergency Response plans for this leading firm in film editing, for their locations in the US, UK & Pacific Rim. 
  • Canadian Export Development Corporation, developed comprehensive Emergency Response Plans for this multi-million dollar export insurance corporation; 
  • University of Ottawa, developed a comprehensive Emergency Response plan for the university's Computer Centre;
  • NSERC, developed a comprehensive impact analysis and Emergency Response plan for the Information Technology Division;
  • DLAEEM, NDHQ Canada, developed a comprehensive Emergency Response plan for the Land (Army) Software

  • Threat & Risk Assessment: Public Works & Government  Services, Govt. of Canada;
  • Common Departmental Financial System (CDFS), completed a threat and risk assessment;
  • Environment Canada, developed a comprehensive business impact analysis and Emergency Response plan and conducted a technology transfer seminar for the Prairie and Northern Regions;
  • Petronas Carigali, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, developed an extensive Emergency Response plan for a major Malaysian Petro-Chemical company;
  • World Bank, developed recovery plans for the Intellectual Property Offices in Venezuela, Argentina and Colombia; and
  • Le Chateau, Montréal, Québec, Canada, developed a comprehensive  business impact analysis and Emergency Response plan for this major Canadian garment manufacturer and retailer.
